Homemade Frappuccino
I love the Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino, but I may not always be able to access one when I’m home. This recipe meets that refreshing coffee craving on those days :).
Are you familiar with the mocha frappuccino from Starbucks? I usually have one in my fridge because of 2 reasons; 1) occasionally I just need that caffeine/ chocolaty fix, and 2) the obvious reason of how good it tastes! I decided to make my own homemade version since not all the time I will have one on hand when the craving hits. Making my own was a big mistake for the Starbucks guys though …..because now, after making it, I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore again….lol…. It’s just so easy to make with ingredients I have on hand 🤫.
Another advantage of making it yourself is that you can make small adjustments depending on your preference. For example, add some more condensed milk if you want it sweeter, or you can add a little more evaporated milk if it's too sweet 😁. Heck, throw in more coffee if it's not strong enough 😉.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon coffee granules
1/2 cup hot water - to dissolve the coffee
330ml evaporated milk - this is the larger Nestle Evaporated milk. You can also measure this in your measuring cup.
1/2 cup condensed milk
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup ice
Method:
Dissolve the coffee in the hot water and allow to cool. Add all ingredients to a blender or a ninja and blend until smooth.
That's it!!!
Variations:
Add some chocolate chips for a little more texture and chocolaty flavour.
Add some oreo cookies to make it into a cookies and cream version.
For the Vanilla Frappacino, leave out the cocoa powder.
